Kaatsheuvel, the Efteling originated in 1935, with the construction of the R.K. Sport and Walking Park with a playground. In 1950, it was expanded into a fairytale forest designed by Anton Pieck, in addition to the fairy tales, other axis actions were built and the park grew to become the largest amusement park in the Benelux.
