Amsterdam Bijlmermeer, The Bijlmermeer district was renovated in the 1990s and 2000s; many of the characteristic honeycomb flats were demolished and replaced by single-family dwellings, and the remaining flats - Gooioord, Groeneveen, Grubbehoeve, Kikkenstein, Kleiburg and Kruitberg - are now a protected cityscape and form the Bijlmer Museum. In the centre of the picture the Growing Monument to commemorate the Bijlmer disaster. (c) 15 Aug 2021 Aerophoto-Schiphol | aerial photo 307107
