Rottumerplaat is an uninhabited Wadden island between the Wadden Sea and the North Sea. Rottumerplaat originated from 1833 as a sandbank that grew around 1860 to the Kapersplaat (Cape Plate) and reached such a large size that it was named Rottumerplaat of Noordwestplaat..© 30 juni 2018 Marco van Middelkoop/Aerophoto-Schiphol
