Nagele, aerial view from Lucernehof showing the wall of trees protecting the village from the polder wind
Nagele, is the first village that was built to house agricultural workers, before this it was customary to locate the houses near the farms. Nagele was designed in the 1950s by architects from De Acht and Opbouw, including Cornelis van Eesteren, Aldo van Eyck, Gerrit Rietveld and the garden architect Mien Ruys. The design of the village is a strict and straight urban plan. (c) 9 Aug 2022 Aerophoto-Schiphol | aerial photo 309061
